Playtime!

With so many great ideas for children’s play areas and cubby houses around, I thought I would share some of my favourite finds with you all.

There is something about tree houses that is just so cool! I always wanted a tree house and think they would be such a great hideout for kids. They are iconic in kids movies, a real “kids only” domain that allows the children to feel like they have their own special space. Tepees are also a brilliant option because they can be disassembled and moved with ease, even brought indoors, if you do not have yard space or if the weather turns bad.

Space is a huge issue today in many homes so here are a couple creative ideas that take up minimal space, but are maximum fun for a kid! A simple blackboard mounted on a wall will provide children with endless hours of fun, and encourage their artistic side. Turning your dining table into a cubby by using an adapted tablecloth would work in any home or, my absolute favourite, create a rock climbing wall! How fun is that?! I can just picture myself jostling with the kids to get a turn ๐Ÿ˜‰

Have a great weekend everyone and remember, all work and no play…

    • Actually that big tree house IS adult size! It is like the coolest weekender or holiday homer ever created! I love that it is divided into the three living sections and can imagine it also working on a smaller scale, which is why I included it ๐Ÿ™‚
