Getting Cushy

Innovative design is always something that tickles my fancy, and these pieces by Mika Barr do not disappoint.

This Israeli print and textile designer has developed a unique 3D fabric using geometric patterns. The pieces take on a beautiful, sculptural nature as they fold according to the chosen pattern.

The colour palette ranges from minimal to bold brights, in a range from cushions to throws that all emit this edgy, tactile nature that is so intriguing.

It almost looks like paper. Would love a scarf in this fabric. Love it.

This reminds me of Issey Miyake’s BAO BAO bag, very similar concept.
