Cutting Edge

I cannot remember where in cyberspace I first initially discovered the work of fashion designer / artist Eugenialejos, but it has stuck with me ever since. Her A Dixit collection was showcased through a look book of sliced photographs that are so mesmerizing, one of those simple yet effective techniques that make you do a double take.

Then I discovered the ZigZag mirror by Mut Design and thought, what a perfect parallel (no pun intended.) This piece essentially is the physical embodiment of these photographs. It slices the reflection into parallel strips, multiplying the object or combining two separate reflections onto one visual plain. The panels of the mirror are mounted at 45 degrees which allows the possibility of multiple views from one vantage point. Pretty spectacular right?
