The Hermitage – The Gibson Hotel, Ireland

This week The Hermitage takes us to Dublin in beautiful Ireland. Dublin is such an eclectic city, a real mix of historic and contemporary culture.

The Gibson Hotel embodies the modern lifestyle of Dublin. It features contemporary architecture by Scott Tallon Walker Architects, an active green policy, all while maintaining an edgy rock n roll vibe. The hotel recently won the Silver Award at the Green Hospitality awards for their commitment to the protection and improvement of the environment. But this isn’t the only way in which this hotel is “Green”.

Within The Gibson Hotel  you will find hidden courtyard gardens and lush green spaces. Water features and towering bamboo allow guests an escape from the bustle of city life and create a stunning green vista through the expansive glass windows. Some of the rooms boast balconies that overlook these internal gardens, creating a lovely serene atmosphere for your stay.

And once you are feeling revived, why not feel more alive and step next door to The O2 Dublin for a gig! A hotel next to a venue? Now how rock n roll is that!

Not what I expected for Dublin. I have to say I really love these indoor wall gardens since seeing the one on the block. I wonder if they are easy to look after. I need a holiday.
