A Dane in India

You already know that I am a massive fan of Danish design, but what do you get when you mix Danish and Indian cultures? Well you get the Stockholm by Villa Inde, and let me tell you, it is pretty amazing!

This range is designed by Dane Marcus Wolfe, and uses a beautiful hardwood called Sheesam, otherwise known as Indian Rosewood. Sheesam wood is characterised by its soft pink hue and swirling wood grain, both which are emphasised in this curved, minimal design. Each piece is finished with a low sheen, transparent lacquer that makes the wood appear untreated yet makes the surface as smooth as silk to touch.
